The storm that has been affecting Lanzarote and La Graciosa since this Thursday has left since this past dawn the first rains on both islands, some of moderate character.
The Emergency Consortium has reported that Lanzarote and La Graciosa have been for several hours within the radius of action of this cold storm and its convective center is to the north-northeast of Lanzarote and will approach a little more. At the same time, it will continue deploying more lines of instability in the central and eastern islands.
According to the organization, "the situation is the most similar to a cold discharge with sun, clearings and sudden cloudiness that appears out of nowhere and with certain vertical development, which leaves short-lived and very noisy downpours". As the hours pass, they can be more persistent, frequent and punctually strong, and can be accompanied by hail and storms.
During this day, the thermal sensation is between 13 and 15 degrees. Likewise, the wind is alternating with lulls and periods of strong intensity from west and northwest components.
As you will recall, the island is under the yellow warnings for wind and swell, due to gusts that can reach and/or exceed 70 kilometers per hour and waves up to five meters high.
