The Security Consortium reinforces its support for the Civil Protections of Lanzarote and La Graciosa

The Lanzarote Security Consortium has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas the nomination of different subsidies to municipalities, groups and entities to finance the development of actions and services in the field of security and emergency.

With a total amount of 215,460 euros, from the Cabildo de Lanzarote - main partner of the Consortium -, 108,000 are allocated to the municipalities of the island, specifically to their respective Civil Protections, at a rate of 15,000 euros for each one and 18,000 in the case of Teguise, because La Graciosa also has this body.

The rest of the resources are aimed at attending to other services, such as the coastal surveillance provided by Emerlan or REN in different municipalities of the island, to which 107,460 euros are allocated.

"In this matter, the sum of efforts between administrations and groups is essential, hence we share resources for the development of new actions and services", says Marcos Bergaz, president of the Consortium.

“The recognition of the work carried out by these entities is as important as facilitating the performance of their activities. That is why we lend a hand with these economic resources”, Bergaz points out.
