The owner of the Zakarías driving schools, Zakaría Mohamed, has filed a complaint against the General Directorate of Traffic for the "continuous problems" suffered by his students to be able to take driving exams in Lanzarote.

In the complaints he has sent to this editorial team, he exposes the "treatment received by the new Head of Traffic, Fulgencio Marin", since his arrival on the island. In this sense, he has highlighted the "many problems" they have had and accuses him of "limiting communication" only to emails.

On Friday morning, several of his students went to the DGT to take a practical driving test, which they could not carry out due to the lack of a document. "I am outraged, it is an enormous impotence", Zakaría Mohamed stated in statements to La Voz de Lanzarote.

"The students had to take the exam, they asked us for documentation, but they only provide an email to send it. They request it from us and answer us a day or two later to make time for the exam deadline to pass", denounces the owner of the Zakarías driving schools. In this line, he adds that for them the documentation is complete.

Also on Friday morning, one of the driving school teachers filed another complaint for the same reason, since his students could not take the exam because the General Directorate of Traffic did not "provide them with a paper" that is essential for it.

This communication via email is for Zakaría Mohamed a "damage" against citizens who pay to obtain a driver's license. In this line, the owner hopes "not to suffer reprisals against his driving school" after having filed several complaints and making a public complaint.

Meanwhile, another citizen denounces problems to be able to contact the DGT on the island because "the electronic headquarters does not work and they do not answer emails either".

To conclude, the owner of the driving school reflects that this situation is prolonged in time and that they had "a horrible December" since many students who returned to the island for Christmas could not take the exam as planned. "It only hinders, we cannot work and the students cannot take the exam in a timely manner", he concludes.

Now, taking a driving test on the island of Lanzarote implies a delay of one month to be able to take the practical test.
