The third season of the Colombian telenovela La Reina del Flow will begin airing next Thursday on the international platform Netflix. The first episodes of this Caracol Televisión production were filmed in Lanzarote, where thousands of people gathered on El Reducto beach, in Arrecife, exactly one year ago to participate in the filming of some of the series' scenes.
The actors Carlos Torres, who plays the protagonist Charlie Flow; Mariana Gómez, in the role of Irma; Juan Marpo, as Eric; Juan Palau, as Drama Key; and Kiño, as Axel; were in Lanzarote in January 2025 to record a concert on the island. Hundreds of people then waited from early in the morning to see the cast in action.
This filming on the island became the first recording outside of Latin America for this production and its first time in Europe. This series has broken records worldwide since its premiere in 2018. In addition to ranking in the top ten most-watched Netflix series in different countries, it received the International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela in 2019.
The story centers on the life of Yeimy Montoya, played by Carolina Ramírez, and her struggle to overcome adversity while conquering the reggaeton world alongside the other protagonist, Carlos Torres.
