The weather in Lanzarote has changed in recent days and the arrival of a period of meteorological instability is expected, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) to La Voz. Specifically, these days will go from the entry of a humid flow from the south to another one from the poles with the trough of a trough (a tongue of cold air) that will probably end up becoming a DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels).
Based on current predictions, this trough and subsequent DANA would not directly affect the archipelago but would probably remain north of the islands, between the Canary Islands and the Gulf of Cadiz. This situation could cause a drop in temperatures and the entry of rain to Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
From this Thursday, weak and occasional rain is expected to enter the island. For this October 7, precipitation is expected to occur mainly during the central hours of the day and in areas of the southern half of the island. Meanwhile, temperatures will remain between 21 and 27 degrees.
Looking ahead to Friday, precipitation is also expected throughout the island, being also weak to moderate in the north of the mountainous islands, more frequent in the early and late hours of the day. Meanwhile, the wind will be light to moderate from the north in the eastern islands.
Rain is also expected to continue in Lanzarote this Saturday, being weak to moderate, although more frequent in the more mountainous islands.
