Delivery of the Yaiza key to the Three Wise Men

From early in the morning, Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar have been seen in the south of Lanzarote. They have done so in the municipality of Yaiza, in the landscape of La Geria, where the mayor, Óscar Noda, has given the keys of the Historic City to their Majesties from the East and has given the most cordial welcome to all his colorful entourage. Then, they have set off again to continue their tour of the thirteen towns of the municipality.

The Kings have a lot of work to do this January 5th, since in the afternoon they will return for the parades in the towns of Yaiza and Playa Blanca. In the evening, the traditional parades will arrive in the towns of Yaiza and Playa Blanca, scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively, in which their majesties will be accompanied by batucada, floats, children's characters and a circus show. Both will be preceded, in addition, by children's workshops from 3:30 p.m. in the case of Yaiza, in the vicinity of the Plaza de Los Remedios, and from 5:30 p.m. in Playa Blanca, next to the Plaza del Carmen.
