The Three Wise Men from the East also visited the municipality of Yaiza this Wednesday, where they received the affection of children and adults as they passed through thirteen towns.
The entourage was accompanied by the music of the Bomba Group and the visit of children's characters, although marked by precautions due to the pandemic.
The mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Celebrations, Javier Camacho, handed over the keys of the municipality to Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar first thing in the morning in La Geria, before they began their tour in convertible cars.
“Our people enjoyed the visit of the Kings who knew how to manage despite the restrictions to fulfill their mission. We only hope that the public health situation will allow us to meet again next year in the traditional parades of the towns of Yaiza and Playa Blanca”, said the mayor, Óscar Noda.
Javier Camacho, for his part, thanked “the dedication of the Kings and their entourage, the understanding of our neighbors, the work of the Local Police and the preventive accompaniment of twelve Civil Protection volunteers very willing to collaborate as the undeniable commitment of the municipal staff of Festivities”. He also apologized "for some oversight that occurred with the route in Las Breñas".
