Yaiza Local Police officers and personnel authorized by the Emergency Consortium have evacuated the tourists who were in Los Hervideros this Friday due to the strong swell in the area, according to the organization.
In addition, they have proceeded to close the area so that people do not access the place and to avoid accidents on a day marked by yellow warnings for strong wind and waves caused by storm Therese.
The waves have reached since this Thursday five meters high in the south and southwest area of Lanzarote, the area most affected by the south wind. Likewise, wind gusts of up to 85 kilometers per hour have been reached in Haría.
As you may recall, The Voice published this Thursday the presence of several people in Los Hervideros, a very dangerous situation in which the waves can drag them into the sea.
From the emergency services and the Government of the Canary Islands, the population is asked to take extreme precautions during the bad weather conditions, avoiding approaching the coast.
