The Directorate General of Emergencies, based on the prediction of AEMET and other available sources, and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena PEFMA updates the situation, moving to a pre-alert for high temperatures.
During Wednesday the 16th, a progressive moderation of the episode of high temperatures is expected, although significant values will still be maintained in some sectors of the archipelago. In Lanzarote, temperatures could locally reach 34 degrees.
As for the calima, it will continue lightly with a tendency to subside. The expected evolution therefore shows a decrease in the intensity of the episode compared to the previous day, although monitoring of temperatures and their territorial distribution will be maintained until the situation is completely normalized.
