The Canary Government declares a pre-alert for wind this Sunday in Lanzarote

The municipalities most affected by this situation will be Yaiza, Teguise, Arrecife and the west coast of Haría

The General Directorate of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), has declared a pre-alert for wind from 6:00 p.m. this Sunday in Lanzarote. 

The wind is expected to blow from the northeast, moderate to strong, and strong and very strong gusts are likely to reach or exceed 50-70 kilometers per hour. The most affected municipalities will be Yaiza, Teguise, Arrecife and the west coast of Haría.

In addition, this situation will also affect the rest of the archipelago. Likewise, the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert for high temperatures in Gran Canaria starting this Monday, where values of up to 34 degrees may be reached.

For its part, the regional Executive has also declared a pre-alert for coastal phenomena in La Palma, El Hierro, La Gomera, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and on the high seas between the islands of greater relief.
