The Canary Government declares pre-alert for waves in Lanzarote and La Graciosa

This situation, according to the State Meteorological Agency, will also affect the rest of the islands of the archipelago

The General Directorate of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency, has declared the pre-alert for adverse coastal phenomena in Lanzarote and La Graciosa starting at 07:00 this Tuesday.

This situation will leave poor sea conditions with combined sea waves and waves between 2 - 3.5 meters high. There will be swell to strong swell and swell from the north and northwest with waves of 2 - 3 meters.

The pre-alert will also affect the north and east coast of El Hierro and La Gomera, the northwest and northeast coast of La Palma, the north and southeast coast of Tenerife, the coast of Gran Canaria (except for the municipalities of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Mogán) and Fuerteventura.

Regarding the meteorological prediction for this Tuesday, slightly cloudy skies are expected with intervals in the north during the night hours. Temperatures will have few changes, with minimums of 20 degrees and maximums of 27. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast with locally strong intervals in areas of the southern interior.
