The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, on behalf of the entire Island Corporation and on his own, wishes to express his deepest condolences for the death of Teresa Hernández Hernández, which occurred this Wednesday at the Insular Hospital of Arrecife at the age of 88.

Teresa Hernández, widow of the remembered journalist and former president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Agustín Acosta, and mother of journalists Techy and Alberto Acosta, was an endearing figure deeply linked to the recent history of the island. Co-owner of Radio Lanzarote and La Voz de Lanzarote, one of the island's leading media groups, Teresa actively participated in Lanzarote's social and cultural life.

The Cabildo de Lanzarote deeply regrets her loss and wishes to convey its support and affection to her three children; to her political children, grandchildren, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
