The Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, during these Christmas festivities, wanted to gift its members and supporters with the best of classical music from great professionals. Last Sunday at 8:00 p.m. in the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture, with a completely packed venue, the concert "El Romanticismo" took place. An event that was presented by the manager of the OCL, Roberto Fuentes.
It was performed by two great professionals such as Iya Zhmaeva on violin and Natalia Nicoleyava on piano. Two women of Russian nationality who conquered the audience who were engrossed in following each of the movements that arose in each of the compositions chosen for the concert.
The repertoire offered revealed the capacity and risk with works of the most important written for violin and piano. Iya Zhmaeva and Natalia Nicolayeva in their repertoire chose works by two Russian composers. The concert began with Sonata for Violin and Piano A-dur by the Belgian composer César Franck, continuing with Melodie, Scherzo, Meditation by the Russian composer Tschaikowsky, followed by 4 Preludes by the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich. At the end of the concert, the audience insisted with their applause that Iya and Natalia continue playing, a request they complied with by performing a Polka.
The attending public enjoyed a great concert with two professionals who gave their all in each of the pieces they performed, receiving as a reward the prolonged applause of the public.
