The Aemet activates the yellow alert for rain in Lanzarote and La Graciosa

Precipitation may leave accumulations of up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour and is more likely in the northern part of the island

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert for rain starting this Tuesday in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Specifically, the alert will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 6:00 PM on the same day. 

The rainfall may leave accumulations of up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour and is more likely in the northern part of the island. Additionally, it could be accompanied by storms in the vicinity of Lanzarote.

Clear skies are expected during the early morning hours, but it will become cloudy with moderate rain as the day progresses, likely in the form of showers, and **without ruling out some locally heavy precipitation** accompanied by thunderstorms. Towards the end of the day, it will tend to be partly cloudy.In addition, maximum temperatures will be slightly to moderately decreasing, while minimums will experience few changes, with values ranging **between 11 and 18 degrees**. The wind will blow light from the west during the early morning, strengthening to moderate and turning north after midday, with some strong gusts in inland areas.
