Teguise will host 37 events in its Christmas program

The Teguise City Council presented this Monday the Christmas program that starts this week with a wide and varied agenda of cultural, recreational and family proposals. "The star audience" of the program, the Council points out, "will be the children."

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, and the Councilor for Festivities, Daniel Morales, together with the rest of the Corporation, have opened the festive season with a Christmas breakfast with typical products of the municipality in the Plenary Hall of the Casa-Museo del Timple, in the Spínola Palace, where they have announced the most relevant events of Christmas in the municipality of Teguise.

The councilor of the area has pointed out that the program "has been prepared by all the areas of the City Council with the proposals of many groups in the municipality." Among "the highlights", Morales highlights "the Timplemente concert and the Disney Children's Musical", as well as "a day of the Three Wise Men that will arrive one more year to the 23 towns of the municipality", recalled Daniel Morales.

Also, in La Graciosa, which will have its own program prepared by the citizens through the Citizenship Council of the Eighth Island, the New Year's Eve will be celebrated with the broadcast of the 12 chimes on Televisión Canaria.

In addition to the 37 Christmas events presented this Monday, on the weekend of December 13 and 14, La Villa will host the Saborea Lanzarote Festival, which was to be held on November 29 and 30 and was postponed due to the storm.

One of the "most outstanding nights of the Christmas season", Morales explained, will be the visit of Santa Claus to Costa Teguise on December 21 in the Pueblo Marinero, which will coincide with the lighting of the Christmas tree.

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, stated during the presentation that "Teguise begins this festive season full of energy, solidarity and Christmas spirit", and took the opportunity to "congratulate all the actors involved in the organization of a Christmas program that the entire municipality of Teguise will enjoy." Betancort is convinced that this program "will be special and different."
