Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa, the public company responsible for the integral cycle on the island after the seizure of the service from Canal Gestión, has announced suspensions and "anomalies" in the supply. In particular, it has warned that the municipalities of Tías, San Bartolomé, Tinajo, and Teguise will be where a greater number of problems with the network will be registered.
In a statement released on its website, the public company reported that since late Wednesday afternoon, electrical incidents were recorded at the Zonzamas pumping stations. These incidents reportedly caused "a significant alteration" in both the supply and distribution of water in the network.
Given this situation, the electromechanical teams of Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa mobilized since Wednesday to restore the operation of the facilities. Despite this, the reservoir levels have decreased, which affects distribution flows.
This situation is in addition to the programmed cuts in Haría and Teguise, where several towns are without supply, as is the case of Arrieta and Punta Mujeres in the north and Guatiza or Los Valles, in Teguise. Regarding other locations on the island, Aguas de Lanzarote has not specified which towns will be affected by this incident.
