The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow warning for wind for all Friday and for Saturday in Lanzarote. This was announced in the weather forecast for this weekend due to the passage of the storm Therese.
The island is under yellow alert since this Thursday for wind and waves until, at least, Friday afternoon. Added to this is that this Friday Lanzarote will also have activated the yellow alert for rain, between 00:00 and 12:00 hours, when an accumulated precipitation in one hour of 15 millimeters is expected.
After a few hours without warnings during Friday evening/night, on Saturday they will be reactivated only for wind between 9:00 and 21:00 at night. In the coming days it is estimated that there will be maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, with southwest wind.
Meanwhile, the swell will be force seven, with combined sea from the west, which may bring waves of four to five meters. Likewise, the southwest wind will be 50 to 61 kilometers per hour.
