The storm Therese keeps Lanzarote on yellow alert for rain this Sunday

Precipitations of up to 15 liters per hour are expected from 2:00 PM, with probability of storms and gusts of wind from the southwest.

Lanzarote and La Graciosa remain this Sunday, March 22, under yellow alert for rain due to the influence of storm Therese, according to the activation carried out for observed phenomena from 14:00 hours.

The warning contemplates precipitation that could reach 15 liters per square meter in one hour, with an estimated probability of between 40% and 70%. Furthermore, it is not ruled out that these rains could be accompanied by isolated storms.

The meteorological episode will last until midnight, at 00:00 hours on Monday, March 23, affecting the entire geographical area of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

As for temperatures, they remain without major changes, with values that will fluctuate between 16 and 22 degrees. The wind will blow from the southwest with strong intensity intervals during the first half of the day, tending to subside throughout the afternoon.

From the emergency services, caution is recommended due to possible accumulations of water on the road and the evolution of the storms, especially in vulnerable areas.
