The Spaniard Quevedo and the Argentinian Bizarrap have obtained this Thursday the award for best Urban Song in the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards as composers of their famous 'Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52', which already achieved the feat of staying for seven weeks at number 1 globally on Spotify.

It was during the so-called 'Premiere', which is not televised and during which the bulk of the awards are given, especially the most technical and specific ones, and which started with a flamenco number starring the nominees for best album in this category.

Shortly after, Édgar Barrera opened the list of winners with his award for Composer of the Year, the first awarded at the Conference and Exhibition Centre of Seville (FIBES), on the first occasion in which they are held outside the United States.

Other artists distinguished in the first moments of the ceremony were the Mexicans Molotov, who obtained the Latin Grammy for best Rock Album against the Spaniards Arde Bogotá and their "Cowboyws de la A3" among others, as well as the Cuban Omara Portuondo, who obtained hers for "Vida" as the best Traditional Tropical Album.

In addition, the Colombian Juanes took the Latin Grammy for best Pop/Rock Album for his album "Vida cotidiana".

Among the acceptance speeches, Paquito D'Rivera dedicated his award for best Contemporary Classical Work/Composition to "the people of Cuba and Venezuela, who will one day be free", as well as Gaby Amarantos, who did the same with "all the black women of Brazil" for her album of Root Music in Portuguese.
