The event Christmas with Family, held this Thursday at the CEIP Playa Honda, was a resounding success in terms of participation, bringing together more than 300 children and their families for an afternoon marked by togetherness and Christmas spirit.
The event, organized by AMPA Alisios Playa Honda and CEIP Playa Honda, in collaboration with the San Bartolomé City Council and the Cabildo de Lanzarote, offered a diverse and continuous program from 5:00 PM, combining sports activities, exhibitions, musical performances, and Christmas workshops, turning the educational center into a large community gathering space.
During the day, among other activities, the chess tournament, the 3x3 basketball tournament, demonstrations of Canarian wrestling, judo, roller skating, and gymnastics, as well as Christmas carol performances by the youngest participants, were held. In parallel, the Christmas candy zone, children's workshops, and the solidarity toy drive remained open, reinforcing the fun and charitable nature of the event.
From the AMPA Alisios Playa Honda, the excellent response from the community, the high participation, and the family atmosphere experienced throughout the afternoon are highlighted, underscoring the importance of these types of initiatives in strengthening ties between families, educational centers, sports entities, and public administrations.
The organization especially thanks the collaboration of sports entities, academies, collaborating companies, as well as the support of the San Bartolomé City Council and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, whose backing has been key to the development of this initiative.
*Navidad en Familia* thus consolidates itself as a benchmark event in Playa Honda, demonstrating that joint work and community involvement make it possible to create spaces for coexistence, educational leisure, and shared celebration.
