Pedro Medina Voltes, the first dentist of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, passed away this Monday at the age of 87.
Medina began his journey in 1969, practicing alone as the only dentist in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. For several years he traveled to all the towns on the island to care for the most disadvantaged, thus demonstrating his great vocation and love for the profession.
His clinic, located in the capital of Lanzarote, turned 50 years old in 2019, being one of the pioneers in the Canary Islands.
The wake will take place this Tuesday, June 7, at the Alianza Canaria funeral home.
