Paula Hernández Ventura was chosen Miss Puerto del Carmen, in a gala that took place on Friday night and that, according to the City Council, packed the Plaza del Varadero. Hernández also won the title of Miss Photogenicity.

For her part, the young Nerea Romero Marrero won the band of Queen of the La Tiñosa 2014 Festivities. In addition, Bárbara Clavijo Rodríguez was named first Lady of Honor, and Carolina González García won the title of second Lady of Honor. Another of the candidates, Alejandra Hernández Domínguez, took the award for Miss Congeniality.

Gabriela Mendieta, Miss Puerto del Carmen 2013, handed over the band to the winner, as did Zenaida Pérez, former Miss Fiestas de La Tiñosa, who did the same with her successor.

The jury was chaired by the Lanzarote designer Oswaldo Machín, who was accompanied by the young actor Mingo Ávila, among others. During the celebration of this gala, the Councilor for Festivities, Francisco Javier Aparicio Betancort, and the Councilor for Tourism and New Technologies, Nerea Santana, were also present.
