Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands is waiting to receive a new storm this very week. It will be from Thursday onwards when we notice its influence on the islands although, according to the State Meteorological Agency, it will arrive very weakened to the archipelago.
The storm will be located northeast of the Canary Islands, between Lanzarote and Madeira, and will cause the probability of weak precipitation to increase and will leave northeast winds. However, David Suárez, delegate of Aemet in the Canary Islands, points out that "there are still many days ahead although for now it does not seem to cause much concern".
Furthermore, this situation will also cause rough seas with waves up to four meters high, although so far, the State Meteorological Agency has not activated any warning, only on the island of La Palma and El Hierro.
Likewise, starting this Wednesday, it is expected that a front associated with this storm affects the Canary Islands and that it leaves light rains in Lanzarote.
