Emotions were running high this Saturday at the Gran Hotel in Arrecife. The students of the 2nd year of National Baccalaureate and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program were received by the attending public with joyful applause, thus beginning a day full of feelings in which the students say goodbye to the School where, for the majority, they have lived together since Kindergarten, to begin a new stage, the university one, in which they will not lack anecdotes and experiences. A farewell that coincides with that of the School's Director Delfina Rodríguez, whose retirement was remembered with great emotion in the words of all those present.
The coordinator of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and Deputy Director of Arenas Internacional School, served as Master of Ceremonies. At the presidential table, Alberto Rodríguez, General Director of Arenas School, Arenas Atlántico and Arenas Internacional; and Jaime Rodríguez, Managing Director, flanked by the Director of Arenas Internacional School, Delfina Rodríguez, and the Director of Arenas Atlántico School Pino who served as Godmother of the graduates.
The sentimental speeches were interspersed with music offered by the San Ginés Choir. The ceremony also featured an audiovisual projection that recalled, with nostalgia and good humor, the students' passage through the educational center.
The students Diego Betancort and María Carolina Belarra were in charge of giving the speech on behalf of all the classmates who graduated, remembering their passage through the School in a journey of memories that they will always carry in their hearts.
And then came the moment of handing over the graduation sashes to these thirty students who will now travel other paths and continue writing their history. With the "Gaudeamus", the academic act concluded, which was closed by Jaime Rodríguez, wishing the graduates all the best. Later, the guests enjoyed a cocktail offered at the facilities of the Gran Hotel de Arrecife. Congratulations to all!
