The Miss Pardela election night, or "the misses' gala," as the residents of El Golfo affectionately call it, was once again the most anticipated and popular event of the La Pardela festivities, which the charming coastal town in the municipality of Yaiza celebrates every October.

The contest, which is more than a decade old, crowned Miss Sea Bunny this Saturday as the new and imperfect sovereign of Miss Pardela 2025, accompanied by Carlota la Cangrejota, chosen as Miss Congeniality, and Paraíso Canario, proclaimed Miss Elegance. The three won over the jury with their confidence, humor, and charisma.

In total, twenty-two candidates—all men transformed into "beautiful aspirants"—competed to succeed Miss Eustaquia, Miss Pardela 2024. The task was not easy for the jury, presided over by the magnate Juan Antonio Machado, who valued the performances full of ingenuity and humor. Beyond the title, the main objective was once again more than fulfilled: to have fun while entertaining the public.

The laughter, joy, and ovations from young and old once again confirmed why this gala is the people's favorite show. A satirical and festive show that laughs at life, celebrates creativity, and reinforces the spirit of community that distinguishes El Golfo.

The event also had its most emotional moment with the tribute to the historic presenter Guayo Rodríguez, who passed away last April. His memory filled with emotion a night that, as always, was marked by brotherhood, gratitude, and joy. The baton in the hosting role fell to César Rijo, president of the La Pardela festival committee, who assumed the role with affection and complicity.

Like every year, the "misses" dazzled with costumes of improvised haute couture, extravagant accessories, and impossible heels, demonstrating the ingenuity and evolution of the participating generations. The new Miss Shearwater belongs to the new crop of aspirants, but the success, as always, was collective.

The Yaiza Town Council, through the Councilor for Celebrations, Daniel Medina, expressed gratitude for the organizational effort of the festival committee and the dedication of the public.
