Maritime Rescue has rescued a new inflatable boat this Thursday afternoon 36 nautical miles from Lanzarote.

Approximately 51 people were traveling in the precarious vessel. The survivors will arrive at the Puerto Naos Dock, in Arrecife, at 4:20 p.m.

According to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES), 49 men and two women were traveling in the Zodiac. Most of them are in good health, except for one, who is slightly injured.

Maritime Rescue has been trying to locate two inflatable boats navigating in waters near Lanzarote since Thursday morning, using the Sasemar 103 aircraft. It should be remembered that in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, a merchant ship intercepted a boat and several people, at least eight, jumped into the sea to try to reach the ship. At the moment, five of them remain missing.

Added to this is the fact that a third inflatable boat is missing and has not yet been recovered.
