Two new precarious boats have been located this Sunday afternoon in waters near Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The first of them was located around 6:30 p.m. 12 nautical miles northeast of the island. 59 people were traveling in it, including a woman, all of Maghreb origin.
Hours later, around 10:30 p.m., a pneumatic boat with 53 people was rescued, including two women and 6 minors, all of Moroccan origin.
The migrants have been transferred to Puerto Naos where they have been assisted by Red Cross volunteers. Two of the people have been evacuated to Molina Orosa for different pathologies.
With this there are seven boats that have been rescued near the coasts of Lanzarote. In total, 363 people have arrived on the island this week
