The Salvamar Al Nair of Maritime Rescue has rescued an inflatable boat this Tuesday afternoon 64 nautical miles east of Lanzarote.
Around 24 people are traveling in the precarious vessel, although we will have to wait for their arrival at the dock to confirm the data.
All people on board the inflatable are in apparent good health and after being intercepted by Maritime Rescue will be transferred to the port of Arrecife. They are expected to arrive in Lanzarote around 7:00 PM this afternoon.
Red Cross volunteers, agents of the State Security and Forces Corps, and the Port Authority of Las Palmas have also been notified of the vessel's arrival at the scene.
It should be noted that upon arrival at the dock, people arriving on the island through irregular channels are guarded for the first 48 hours by the National Police, while their identification is carried out, their data is collected, and vulnerability cases are detected.
