Maritime Rescue rescued a boat near the coast of Lanzarote on Monday night, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

There were 56 men on board, all of sub-Saharan origin. They were transferred to Puerto Naos in Arrecife where they were assisted by Red Cross volunteers.

They were all in good condition and no transfer to Molina Orosa was necessary, the NGO reported.

This is the second boat to arrive on the island this month of September. The first arrived this Saturday, September 7 and had 58 people on board, 53 men, 4 women and one minor among them, all of sub-Saharan origin.
