This Tuesday night, Manuel Cabrera Rodríguez, the Pollo de Tías, has passed away at the age of 90. Cabrera is one of the most important figures in Canarian wrestling, a sport to which he dedicated his life and to which he gave memorable moments.
Manuel Cabrera leaves behind his widow, Lina, his children, Inma and Manuel, and his grandchildren Manolo, Marta, Echedey Manuel and Manuela.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, on her behalf and on behalf of the Corporation, has expressed her condolences for his death.
"My deepest condolences to his family, with a special memory for his son Manuel, who was the heart of this Institution, to his friends and to the Canarian wrestling family," said Corujo.
The funeral chapel will open its doors this Wednesday the 7th at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Funeral Home of Tías. A farewell will be held on Thursday the 8th at 1:30 p.m. in the Church of San Antonio de Padua in Tías, and immediately afterwards his burial will take place in the Municipal Cemetery of Tías.
