Lanzarote welcomes Holy Week with rain

Temperatures rise and rainfall ceases from Holy Thursday

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced rain for this Tuesday and Wednesday in Lanzarote. The days prior to Holy Week expect temperatures between 16 and 25 degrees and will alternate periods of cloudiness with rain.

The day in which Aemet predicts the most probable rain is this Wednesday in the section between 24.00 on Tuesday and 18.00 on Wednesday. The weather forecast estimates that it will rain in all the municipalities of Lanzarote at some point on Wednesday.

Looking ahead to Holy Thursday, no rain is expected. In addition, a slight increase in temperatures is estimated, ranging between 17 and 26 degrees.

While the weather for Good Friday the probability of precipitation rises to 10% in the time slot between 12.00 and 24.00 hours.

During this Friday and Saturday, temperatures will remain between 17 and 25 degrees. While this Saturday, April 8, the chances of rain disappear. It will be on Sunday when maximum temperatures could be reached, with an increase to 28 degrees.

Aemet predicts that from Thursday it will be necessary to avoid exposure in the central hours of the day, as well as essential to use sunscreen and hat. The ultraviolet index (UVI), the parameter that measures the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the surface of the Earth, will take values classified as "very high".

As for the gusts of wind, it will be between Tuesday and Thursday when the highest gusts are expected, reaching 55 kilometers per hour maximum.
