Lanzarote nears 40 degrees on the most suffocating day of summer

According to the State Meteorological Agency, this Wednesday temperatures will experience a slight decrease

Lanzarote has brushed 40 degrees this Tuesday, September 8, on one of the most suffocating days of the summer. Specifically, it was at the State Meteorological Agency station located at César Manrique Airport where the thermometer reached 39.7 degrees at 4:00 PM.

After the Airport, Arrecife reached 37.1 degrees, Tías 36.9, Haría: 34.6, Playa Blanca 32.5, Tinajo: 32.1 and finally, La Graciosa registered 31 degrees.

Aemet forecasts for this Wednesday, September 9, that temperatures will experience a slight decrease and will not exceed 32 degrees.

The skies will be slightly cloudy or clear, with cloudy intervals in the north and west at the end of the day. Dust haze will remain present, especially at higher altitudes.

As for the wind, it will blow moderately from the northeast.
