Cuidamos Papagayo Children's Workshops (3)

The boys and girls who spend a few days of rest in the Papagayo camping area have recently enjoyed the day We Take Care of Papagayo, organized by the Biosphere Reserve Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and Tágora Estudios e Intervención Social, with the aim of discovering the natural and landscape environment of Los Ajaches and its rich biodiversity.

The little campers learned about some species of fauna and flora visible in Lanzarote such as the Egyptian vulture, the Barbary partridge or the gecko, the lichens, the tabaiba and the aulaga. Awareness activities on recycling were also carried out in a fragile environment such as the Biosphere Reserve of Lanzarote and the negative impact of plastic pollution.

A team gymkana through the camping area and the design of a logo for the installation, inspired by what they learned, completed a recreational-educational activity for the little ones that will be repeated on two more occasions.

In this way, the participants will be able to continue learning about the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches, the nature of the island and the importance of its protection and care on the next days, July 23 and August 20, in the Papagayo camping area.
