Lanzarote and La Graciosa experienced this past early morning a torrid night marked by high temperatures that did not drop below 25 degrees in many points of the island's orography. Torrid nights are those in which the nocturnal temperature does not drop below 25 degrees, which makes it difficult to fall asleep.

In fact, this Monday there were areas of the island where temperatures already exceeded 30 degrees at six in the morning. This is the case of the station of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) located at Lanzarote Airport, which registered a temperature of 30.9 degrees at 07:00 hours.

Regarding the minimum temperatures recorded on the island during the night, in Tías the values did not drop below 25-27 degrees during the early morning, temperatures that fueled insomnia for many residents of this area.

For their part, in Arrecife and Playa Blanca the thermometers during the night hovered around 25 degrees in both towns. Thus, in La Graciosa the Aemet station registered 23 degrees during most of the night hours.

Haría and Tinajo were the towns that had cooler temperatures with 22.7 and 21.8 degrees minimum, respectively.

Lanzarote and La Graciosa continue this Tuesday under a yellow heat warning for temperatures that could reach 36 degrees. This warning will end at 19:59 hours this same day.
