The young woman from Lanzarote, Iballa González, is fully dedicated to her artistic career. During an interview for Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, the young resident of San Bartolomé, recounted how she was going to face her current and promising future as a singer.
Of all the projects in which she is currently active on the island, she is preparing a new musical, inspired by the Disney movie 'Encanto'. In addition, she is considering the possibility of dedicating herself to composition, which is a challenge for her. "I have tried to compose, but I need training," she revealed to the microphones.
With a degree in biology and anthropology in Madrid and a master's degree in Anthropology, González stands out for enjoying and living day by day, also in her hobby and profession. "I have been making myself known little by little, I have never set a goal," she said.
In addition, she has several plans for the coming years. "I am considering studying a master's degree in teaching," she revealed. However, she does not want to abandon her passion for music, which she unexpectedly revealed in 2022, when her mother signed her up for a contest in Masdache, in which she won first prize. "I am preparing for whatever they call me for, I am not planning anything for the future," she added confidently.
Although she has only been showing herself to the public for a short time, her vocation arose from an early age. Her family was her discoverer. "They realized she had talent as a singer thanks to a children's murga," she said. Since she was a child, she has been familiarizing herself with music, participating in murgas and Carnival. Several city councils and producers from Lanzarote have been in charge of betting on her. "I took everything with great enthusiasm, I didn't expect anyone to call me," she added.
Lover of classic songs
Musicals, choirs and even singing contests are the various records in which she already has experience. She participated singing live in the Municipal Choir, in the 'Got Talent del Cuchillo' contest last year, performing a song by Rocío Dúrcal, 'La gata bajo la Lluvia'. Musicals are also part of her career, as in the one she was able to participate in Playa Blanca, singing duets of the songs from 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Aladdin', followed by her solo with one from 'The Little Mermaid'.
She does not rule out entering some national contests such as 'Operación Triunfo', although she acknowledged that she must prepare vocally and dare to take the step. "I am embarrassed and nervous to present myself to a casting, it is something that I would have to think about very carefully."
She prefers classic songs and older music, which she always tends to choose, they help her grow professionally. "They are complicated and help you bring out your full potential," she explained. One of the most outstanding versions of the song by Los Chunguitos, 'Me quedo contigo', was chosen for her performance at the Monumento del Campesino.
The young woman, with an a cappella song, has finished the interview delighting all the listeners with 'Procuro Olvidarte', the song by the Spanish composer Manuel Alejandro.
