The Hotel Teguise Playa and the Rotary Club Lanzarote have donated a hundred mattresses, with their bedding, to several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that help people in vulnerable situations on the island.
These NGOs had requested these needs for their shelters from Rotary Club Lanzarote.
The donation, made this summer, was for Flora Acoge, Asociación Mararía, Cruz Roja Lanzarote (for its inclusion shelter), Centro de Menores de Tinajo and for the Reception Device for Migrant Minors in La Santa also in Tinajo.
The president of Rotary Club Lanzarote, José Luis Otaduy Castanedo, thanks the management of the Grand Hotel Teguise Playa, in the person of its director Adolfo de la Rúa, for the solidarity collaboration to make it possible for these groups that work with people in vulnerable situations to have these equipments for their daily rest.
Rotary also appreciates the permanent collaboration of Teguise Playa, as well as other tourist establishments and companies in Lanzarote, "that offer their solidarity towards the initiatives of the Rotarians of Lanzarote when they are requested for different programs or social groups".
On behalf of Rotary Club Lanzarote, in addition to its president, the club members Elizabeth García Hernández and Rafael Montero attended this delivery of the material.
