The Lanzarote native Hecher Sosa, known sportingly as El Guanche Warrior, will be the pregonero (town crier/speaker) for the San Ginés de Arrecife 2026 festivities. This has been confirmed by the athlete himself to La Voz

The pregón, which will take place on August 14, will kick off one of the most anticipated festivals of the year in Lanzarote.

Sosa has acknowledged to this outlet "being very happy" for this opportunity and to be able to give the pregón "in a municipality where I was born and raised, it is a privilege and a luxury".

Over the past few years, Hecher Sosa has accumulated fifteen victories and one defeat, as well as a streak of eleven consecutive wins, which has made him one of the benchmarks within mixed martial arts.

Last March, the Lanzarote native achieved victory in his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the largest mixed martial arts company in the world, after defeating the Brazilian Luan Larceda.

For now, it is known that the singers Pablo Alborán (August 15), the group La Guardia (August 21) and David Bisbal (August 25) will perform at the San Ginés festivities, as well as the Fiesta de La Chola which will take place on August 22.
