Of the five outbreaks produced in socially vulnerable groups notified among people arriving in the Canary Islands by pateras or canoes, four have been registered in Fuerteventura and one in Gran Canaria.

The family outbreaks, all produced between families from different homes, range between three and eight associated cases, except for two with nine affected each.
