The Lanzarote Health Area has relocated the Covid vaccination points to the Primary Care health centers. Starting this Wednesday, the health centers Titerroy and Valterra in Arrecife, Playa Blanca, Tías, Costa Teguise, San Bartolomé, Tinajo, Mala and the medical office of La Graciosa, will continue with both the first vaccination and the administration of the booster doses that correspond to each patient.
The Health Department points out that this measure is taken once the population of the island is already vaccinated "92.05 percent with one dose and 90.65 percent with two doses", which allows reorganizing the activity and "normalizing the vaccination points".
They add from the Ministry that these measures are adopted to adapt them to the current epidemiological situation on the Island and to "the favorable evolution of the immunization campaign", both the vaccination of children between 5 and 11 years old, as well as the administration of the booster dose of vaccination.
In that sense, the Health Department highlights the role played by the Insular Vaccination Point, in the building attached to the Valterra Health Center. The nursing teams of this space enabled by the Health Department to facilitate immunization against the coronavirus, and mass vaccination in all age groups, has administered since last November "more than 62 thousand doses of the vaccine between first and second doses, as well as booster doses."
Vaccination will be by appointment although a limited number of 20 doses will be maintained for people who come without an appointment to the established health centers.
To make an appointment for vaccination, citizens have 012 and the additional telephone numbers 928 301 012 and 922 470 012 or in the prior appointment app of the Canarian Health Service.
