At the meeting, the requests of the town councils of Haría, Teguise, Tinajo and Yaiza for the closure of schools on Tuesday were collected. These requests, in the presence of the island's Director of Education, Carmen Pellón, were collected to be forwarded to the Government of the Canary Islands.

Specifically, the Yaiza Town Council requested the closure of the schools in Las Breñas, Yaiza, CEIP Mararía (Femés) and the Uga unit. Teguise requested the closure of the schools in Caleta de Famara, Soo and the CEO Ignacio Aldecoa in La Graciosa.

For its part, the Tinajo Town Council, visibly affected by the force of the wind on Monday, has requested the suspension of school activity at CEIP El Cuchillo, while the Haría Town Council has requested the suspension in all schools in the municipality.

The remaining municipalities, Tías, San Bartolomé and Arrecife, have not requested the suspension of school activity at the moment as the wind is not expected to affect these areas excessively.

The recommendations for the suspension of outdoor activities are extended until the end of the haze episode.
