Members of the Maulli2 Feline Association are carrying out a petition drive this weekend in La Graciosa in support of the initiative "Solution for the Cats of La Graciosa!"
These neighbors have called for "the completion of the sterilization of community cats that began in 2024, which would help to control population growth and the associated problems".
As an alternative, they propose that a shelter be built on the island, which would allow the animals to be controlled, but always under adequate conditions.
The petition addressed to the Teguise City Council remains open on the change.org portal, so that those who wish can give their support virtually.
