The team of the Apple TV super production Foundation (Fundación in its Spanish translation) docked this Sunday in Lanzarote and since this Monday has already begun filming the second season of the series on the island.
The Mirador del Río area has been the location chosen to start filming, and there they have made this Monday an important technical and personnel deployment to start recording.
Foundacion already passed through the island in its first season, in which it opted for the Canary Islands together with other international destinations such as Ireland, Iceland and Malta. In the Canary archipelago, most of the filming was focused on Fuerteventura, specifically in Tuineje, but it also passed through Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Lanzarote. Now, the team has returned to the island of Lanzarote for the second season of this futuristic series.
Foundation is an adaptation of the famous saga of science novels by Isaac Asimov, which tells the story of a group of exiles from the galactic empire who found a new "civilization", due to the prediction of Doctor Hari Seldon that the current form of government will disappear. In order to try to save the Empire, the protagonists discover that they must challenge it and confront it.
The first season premiered in September 2021 on the Apple TV platform, becoming one of the most watched series on the platform and confirming its continuity.
