The Sociocultural and Sports Association Venezuelans United Hand in Hand in Lanzarote began this Wednesday to organize and prepare all the humanitarian aid received from all those people on the island who have decided to donate to help the country after the double earthquake.
The entity asked for help on social media to find volunteers to collaborate in the preparation of this aid, which the association assures has received "many" donations. Furthermore, they highlight that Lanzarote's response of solidarity "has been wonderful."
"These have been days in which we have verified that solidarity transforms into an embrace for those who, in a matter of seconds, saw their lives change forever," the organization expressed.
This collection took place on July 2 and 3 at the association's headquarters, located on Bolivia Street, number 9, in Arrecife.
Thanks to the support and solidarity of Lanzarote, the association has managed to launch the shipment of food, medicine, clothing, and drinking water, among other products.
