The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has extended the yellow alert for suspended dust until this coming Monday in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Initially, its validity had been extended until Sunday.

Now, Aemet extends the yellow alert for dust storms until 7:00 PM on Monday. High concentrations of dust are expected during this Sunday and Monday at low levels, especially during daylight hours.

This situation will also affect the islands of Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife, although on the latter two it will end at 10:00 AM on Monday.

Furthermore, it should not be forgotten that the Canary Islands Government declared a pre-alert for rough seas in Lanzarote starting at 06:00 this Saturday due to waves that could reach three meters in height.

On Sunday, attention should also be paid to the wind in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, which will blow from the east, moderate, and with **gusts that can be locally very strong** on the western slope.
