Borja Casillas, known as Drag Sethlas, will have to testify this Wednesday as an investigated party in Court for his controversial performance at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival, based on religious references to the Virgin and the crucified Christ. This statement will occur after the Court of Instruction number 8 of the city admitted a complaint from a citizen of Seville against the winner of the contest, who accuses him of hurting religious feelings.
Drag Sethlas' performance was already analyzed last March by the chief prosecutor of Las Palmas, Guillermo García-Panasco, after a complaint from the Association of Christian Lawyers, although in this case the Prosecutor's Office ended up filing the proceedings as it did not appreciate in Casillas a desire to offend, but rather an acid criticism.
It should be remembered that, after the controversy unleashed by his performance in Las Palmas, Drag Sethlas performed in Lanzarote, specifically at the Drag Gala of the Playa Blanca Carnival, being one of the most applauded performances.
