The Directorate General of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared the situation of pre-alert due to heat for this weekend in Lanzarote, La Graciosa and the rest of the Canary Islands.
The pre-alert situation in the archipelago will begin from 11:00 AM this Sunday, coinciding with the yellow alert established by the State Meteorological Agency for this same day.
The Canary Executive has reported that in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura the heat episode could lead to temperatures that briefly exceed 37 degrees in inland areas located in the southern half of the islands.
Meanwhile, in Gran Canaria, maximum temperatures could reach and exceed 34 degrees in inland areas and the southern slopes, especially in those facing south and west.
In Tenerife and La Gomera, temperatures could exceed 32 degrees, also on the southern slopes.
The episode will be less severe in El Hierro and La Palma, where 30 degrees could be briefly reached, especially in the midlands and northeastern peaks in El Hierro.
