The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has reported the presence of clouds and scarce rains for this Holy Week in Lanzarote.

Specifically, during the early morning of this Holy Thursday, cloudy skies are expected to become partly cloudy as dawn breaks. Throughout the morning, the island will experience periods of cloudy skies, and Aemet predicts that even scarce rains may occur throughout the island. From noon onwards, clear skies are expected, and even the arrival of the sun in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, temperatures will be between 16 and 23 degrees, experiencing a slight increase compared to previous days, especially in the maximum temperatures of the northern half of the island. Thus, the wind will be from the southwest, light, and will increase throughout the morning.

It will be during the night from Thursday to Good Friday when the skies may cloud over again and even lead to scarce rains throughout the island during the early morning. However, as the morning progresses, minimum temperatures are expected to rise slightly, around 17 degrees, and maximum temperatures with little change or decrease, down to 22.

For this Good Friday, Aemet has established a yellow warning for strong waves. In addition, it will be accompanied by northwest wind with strong intervals.

Looking ahead to Holy Saturday, cloudy skies and scarce rains are expected in most of the island and during the first half of the day. Meanwhile, the skies will be less cloudy in the second half of the day, and precipitation in Tías and Yaiza is not ruled out.

To end the week, scarce rains will reappear throughout the day on the island on Sunday.
