Canary Islands has added six more deaths from coronavirus since Friday, three in Gran Canaria, two in Tenerife and one in La Palma, in addition to a total of 993 new positives among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is being monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.
For their part, the deceased, aged between 62 and 101 years, had previous pathologies and were in hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days decreases to 850.98 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and to 7 days to 415.70. Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands is 65,572 people.
Currently, on the islands there are 261 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 18 are in the ICU and the rest, 243, on the ward.
