Canal Gestión Lanzarote assures that the supply, distribution and reserve system is "in full process of restoration", and that currently all the treatment plants "are working practically at 100%" and the supply service is "fully active throughout the island".
This occurs two days after the company warned that an electrical failure had stopped the desalination plants "for almost an hour", which would cause shortages in different parts of the island. In addition, on Thursday Canal Gestión announced that some areas would be "temporarily without supply", and that even "rationalize" until total service is restored.
However, Canal Gestión stressed that Arrecife and the tourist areas of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise would not be affected. However, according to La Voz de Lanzarote, neighborhoods such as San Francisco Javier or Argana Alta suffered water cuts on Wednesday and Thursday.
The company emphasizes that it must be taken into account that "until everything is completely normalized", some consumers "may suffer some type of deficiency or anomaly, given that the flow and pressure is conditioned by the high initial demands that are being recorded after the restriction of supply."
