The Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote Boluntis imparts the V Training Days for the volunteer personnel of said association and other NGOs.

The days are taught in collaboration with the Instructor Firefighters, two of whom are volunteers and one professional from the Netherlands; Ronald Mourik, Hennie Tober and Cees IJzerman, "highly qualified instructors with extensive experience in the world of emergencies", Boluntis points out.

Members of Civil Protection of Tías and Tinajo and other emergency NGOs on the island participated in the conference.

The general objective is to "develop skills among the different groups of volunteers through knowledge of the safety aspects that must be taken into account in emergencies."

The work of volunteer firefighters is "complex and constantly changing", as they must know "in detail each new development and be up to date with the latest updates to correctly and in a coordinated manner perform this important service."

This year's training program includes traffic accidents, fires, vehicle rescue, and electric vehicles, "in which special emphasis has been placed this year."

Finally, Boluntis reiterates "that we are very grateful that these three professionals dedicate part of their free time to further instruct our volunteers to continue training and thus be more useful to the people of Lanzarote."
